For this event, I went around liberty station after an art show assisting artists as they took apart their booths. I was put into teams of 3 and together we coordinated with the teams to get it done. My team went and helped several artists by taking their work wheeling it to the pickup points. I helped one artist in particular and my team ended up spending an hour start to finish wheeling ceramics back and forth. It was a great experience talking to the artists and hearing their stories and how they got into doing art. For other artists, they had massive sculptures and it was a sight to see. Overall, this event was very fun.
I arrived at Liberty Station and my temperature was checked by some of the ladies helping out at the event. Then, I was given scissors to help tear down the canopies of the artists. Me and one other member of the club were paired up so we wouldn’t get lost. We helped make sure the artist had a way to get carts or stairs to bring their art down and in their cars. We also help bring art to the artist’s cars so they would be done putting away their stuff fast. At the end, both my partner and I had to make sure trash wasn’t on the floor when we were done helping the artists.
