In December, Mar Vista started an ornament making service event, which our officers took great interest in participating in. We thought it would be nice to contribute to another club’s service project, which promotes better cooperation and collaboration between clubs. We wanted to gather together all the officers (following social distance protocols of course) and make ornaments to donate to their cause. Each of us brought different craft materials, like paint, glitter, and other décor, and we came together at Rohr Park to start our ornaments.

The officers worked on the ornaments for about 2 hours, trying to make as many as possible while still maintaining the quality of each one. We tried all sorts of different looks, painting both solid color ornaments and ones with Christmas designs. We even had a visit from our lieutenant governor, Kayla, so she could see the work we were doing. Over 25 ornaments were created and we were able to donate them to Mar Vista’s service project.
